Welcome to Our Gate. The town is in crisis – tensions are rising to the surface – a group of children have gone missing, an unidentified yellow residue is spreading across the buildings and the H2 Flow campaign has drastic plans for our water. The clock is ticking. Who has our best interests at heart? Whose side are you on? Our future is in your hands! Join us for an emergency meeting at Wesley Centre where you can make your voice heard and take immediate action.
Our Gate is a dynamic immersive community play with Harrogate and it’s citizens at its core. The show will travel between indoor and outdoor locations along Oxford Street with the audience at the centre of the action. Created by local writer Rachael Halliwell and Director Amie Burns Walker who brought the
hugely successful Great Gatsby to Harrogate Theatre in 2019. We are delighted to welcome back Evening Standard x TikTok Future Theatre Award Winner Caitlin Mawhinney who will be designing the show.
Working directly with a combined intergenerational community and professional cast- this play has been made by the town and for the town.
Tickets go on sale on Saturday 5th June from 12pm.
