South London rising talent ZieZie has dropped his first single of 2021 ‘Blessed’. The melodic track sees ZieZie go back to his roots and is accompanied by an official video, directed by Mad Brothers, which centres around where ZieZie saw himself five years after the release of ‘Fine Girl’.
Speaking about the release ZieZie says: “I wrote Blessed because it is now time for me to go back into my original sound that I was doing and the start of my career. The song is based on feeling blessed in the time that we are in right now, because I’m around my family and loved ones. I wanted to keep the concept of the video on where I would see myself in five years after Fine Girl, because by that time my love life, my circumstances and my family would be all blessed! Blessed is a song about feeling blessed to be in the position I am today and me going back to the original sound I was doing’.
Garnering over 196M worldwide streams, ZieZie has had a rapid rise to success in a short space of time
which has included heavyweight collaborations with multi-platinum artist Aitch on ‘Buss Down’ and ‘French Kisses’, and key tastemaker support from the likes of Complex, Clash, Notion, GRM, Robert Bruce (Capital Xtra) and DJ Target (1xtra). Not stopping there, his achievements have only grown more impressive by becoming a Platinum selling artist and reaching the Top 10 in the UK charts.
‘Blessed’ is out now and precedes the start of a stellar 2021 for ZieZie as he prepares to release new music and unveil collaborations with some of the scenes’ biggest names.
