As a singer/songwriter he has toured extensively as support artist for legends Burt Bacharach, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Cliff Richard, Simply Red, Jools Holland, Will Young, George Benson to name a few.
And on Tuesday June 19 AJ will wow the crowds at Scarborough when he takes to the stage ahead of international superstar Lionel Richie

AJ, who has a new album and UK tour scheduled for late 2018, has performed at Scarborough OAT previously supporting Sir Tom Jones, Will Young and Simply Red.
He said: “I am absolutely delighted to be supporting Lionel Richie in Scarborough.
“I’m Yorkshire born and bred so it is a real honour for me to be able to support such an international icon on home soil. This is going to be an incredible show kicking off an amazing summer at Scarborough OAT.”
The Scarborough OAT show is among Lionel’s first UK shows since receiving glittering reviews for his ‘All The Hits’ tour which included three nights at London’s The O2.
The dates followed a phenomenal performance at Glastonbury 2015 which drew the biggest crowd of the weekend as more than 200,000 people flocked to the Pyramid Stage. Lionel’s incredible success continued as his album ‘The Definitive Collection’ topped the charts and provided his first UK Number 1 in 23 years.
Lionel went on to receive British GQ’s Icon Award adding to a celebrated career which includes the O2 Silver Clef Award, four GRAMMYs, a Golden Globe and even an Oscar as well as the prestigious Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Award.
Performing hits from his extensive and much-loved repertoire spanning decades, all the way from the Commodores to the present day, Lionel’s shows are world renowned for their party atmosphere.
Fans will be able to enjoy timeless mega-hits and sing along to classics such as ‘Easy’, ‘Truly, ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’, ‘Say You Say Me’, ‘Hello’ and ‘All Night Long’.
