West Thebarton have just announced details of their debut album release. Different Beings Being Different is out on 18th May via Domestic La La. It will be available to stream/download, and also buy on limited vinyl. The band’s debut showcases frontmanReverend Ray’s gravelly and raw vocals, accompanied by thrashy guitars. Rev describes the new LP as “real Aussie straight-from-the-gut rock. I wanted the record to be f**king grandiose, but not try and be a pub rock cliche.” Pre-order here.
Alongside news of Different Beings Being Different getting released, the band also revealed the video for brand new single, Stuck On You. It sees the band wake up after a heavy night, and head off to their various day jobs combined with flashbacks from the night before. Watch the video here.
This Summer, West Thebarton are heading over to the UK for the first time as a band. They’re playing Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall on Friday 8th August, and then head to Reading & Leeds Festival later that month. West Thebarton play the BBC Radio 1 Stage at Reading on Saturday 25th August, and Leeds on Sunday 26th August.
Last year saw the 7-piece from Adelaide gain new drummer Caitlin Thomas, and release first track together, Moving Out. This was closely followed by their scuzzy garage-rock anthem Bible Camp, to critical acclaim.
