“Right Now” is the new single from Toosii’s Poetic Pain, which will be released this Friday, September 18, via South Coast Music Group. Fans who pre-save Poetic Pain will instantly receive “Right Now” plus the recently released “Poetic Pain” and “Love Cycle” (with Summer Walker). Toosii’s new line of merchandise – which includes Poetic Pain items – can be found exclusively HERE.
Poetic Pain showcases Toosii’s gift for matching introspective lyrics with unforgettable hooks. The project exudes a harder-hitting and more dynamic sound than its predecessor, Platinum Heart, providing a fitting backdrop to Toosii’s unapologetic truth-telling. At the same time, songs like “Right Now” bring a more hopeful tone, reflecting the triumphs he has experienced following a long period of struggle.
The 20-year-old rapper is an entirely self-driven and strong-minded artist, fiercely dedicated to following his instincts and one-of-a-kind vision. Since signing with South Coast Music Group (the label that catalyzed DaBaby’s rise as one of music’s biggest new stars in recent years), the Syracuse, New York native has won acclaim for his melodic flow and autobiographical storytelling.
Platinum Heart (Deluxe) charted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums tally and entered the Billboard 200 following its release in May 2020. By July, Toosii had shot into the top 10 of Rolling Stone’s “Breakthrough 25” chart, which tracks the month’s fastest-rising artists. Platinum Heart (Deluxe) has now amassed over 200 million combined global streams. Flaunt predicted, “Toosii is about to take over the rap game.” A compelling live performer, Toosii has supported such artists as DaBaby, Summer Walker, Polo G, Moneybagg Yo, Money Man, NBA Young Boy, Yung Bleu, City Girls and more.
