Tokio Myers has released the powerful new video for No More Gang Wars (Together), the lead track from his recently released EP, BLACK DAWN. Created by Sam Friend, the video features past and present footage from demonstrations spanning the last 60 years including the recent Black Lives Matter events around the UK. It’s a powerful, beautiful and thought-provoking commentary on what is going on in the world right now.
Speaking of the video, creator and friend Sam Friend added: “These protests were an incredibly moving experience to be a part of, the energy and atmosphere were like nothing I’ve ever witnessed. Being able to partner up with Tokio once more on a project where we can document such a strong and powerful subject matter, has been a true pleasure throughout. This is history in the making, our generation WILL create change and equality for all.”
Tokio Myers released the 3-track EP BLACK DAWN, on Friday 12th June in support of the fight for global equality. BLACK DAWN is a powerful statement, featuring black artists – Mychelle, Afronaut Zu, Kaidi Akinnibi and J’Danna who have come together to tell their important stories about the pain and struggle felt every day in the fight for unity.
