The fabulous, multi-faceted Todrick Hall has captured the current situation in his own inimitable style with his COVID-19 themed anthem ‘Mask, Gloves, Soap, Scrubs’ and the ‘Quarantine Queen’ EP. His profile has since exploded, resulting in him being chosen as the iconic cover star of Billboard’s Pride 2020 issue, headlining HBO’s first ever digital Pride and appearing on numerous landmark TV shows including The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Now Todrick Hall has another big week, which culminates with him hosting Global Pride for YouTube via his channel tomorrow (Saturday 27th). He’ll perform on the main stage at approximately 5pm UK time as part of an all-star line-up that features artists over 24 hours such as Adam Lambert and Melissa Etheridge, while the event will also feature videos from over 500 Pride organisations from all over the world.
Todrick Hall further celebrates Pride with three other big moments this week. Yesterday, he played Spotify’s Virtual Pride for their 5000 employees around the world on a bill that also included Mel C, Trixie Mattel, Kiddy Smile, Populous, ShyBoi and Jodie Harsh. His recent success has seen his monthly listeners at Spotify soar to 1.6 million and today he also shares the lyric video to ‘GLITTER’ – Watch below.
Today he appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and launched a global Snapchat lens for his dynamic disco anthem ‘Glitter’, which will be serviced to the platform’s 210 million active daily users. It’s a song that celebrates the entire LGBTQIA+ community. As he explained to Elite Daily: “There are a lot of people who are like, ‘I identify as part of the queer community, but I would never be seen in heels and I would never be seen wearing glitter.’ And for me, this song is supposed to be a celebration of whoever and whatever spectrum of the rainbow you’re at.”
