Tiny Habits – the young, fast-rising harmony trio composed of singer-songwriters Maya Rae, Cinya Khan, and Judah Mayowa – release their highly anticipated single and video ‘Wishes’ today. They have also announced their debut album, All For Something, out May 24th.
Written collectively and individually by all three bandmates, the album’s twelve tracks take on themes of sensitivity, insecurity, nostalgia, love and friendship. The trio has built up a loyal following of fans and friends including fellow artists Kacey Musgraves, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Phoebe Bridgers, Elton John, and the late great David Crosby. Produced by Tony Berg and Will Maclellan (Boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers), All for Something radiates with the bands trademark angelic harmonies atop a richly-layered musical backdrop.
Pre-save All For Something HERE, and listen to ‘Wishes’ – what the group calls “our most personal song to date” – HERE.
With its painfully honest lyrics, ‘Wishes’ shares Tiny Habits’ innermost vulnerabilities, opening up about everything from family dynamics and body image to anxiety and people-pleasing. Cinya, Maya, and Judah each contributed their own verse to the track in the hopes that their shared thoughts and feelings might help others feel not quite so alone.
Cinya writes “I came to the realisation that my experience, while unique to me, was one shared by so many others.” Maya adds, “Writing my own verse to this already heart wrenching, emotional, and vulnerable song felt so cathartic and honestly, just so healing.” And Judah shares “This song was something my physical and spiritual being needed. It became such a crucial turning point in my songwriting. I only want to share honest art and never shy away from vulnerability.”
Following a run of UK dates with Noah Kahan last year & a sold-out date at London’s XOYO, Tiny Habits return to the UK this May for a run of dates, culminating with a show at Koko in London on May 30th. Tickets are available HERE.
