1. Free Money – Up In The Sky
Free Money are a four-piece from East London. The new single is to be released via Buff Records and Communion Records. Fittingly it’s Communion’s first collaboration of this kind and also the first release for Buff Records,Dan White (Tribes) and Blaine Harrison (Mystery Jets). The mantra of Buff Records in many ways mirrors the ethos of how Communion came to be: an artist-led community focusing on long term growth and a DIY spirit. Up In The Sky is out now.
2. Future Generations – Out Loud
NYC’s Future Generations today share new single “Out Loud.” The track is off their upcoming album Landscape (Frenchkiss Records) set to be released on September 14.
As a trio, Future Generations created an EP that included their breakthrough single “Stars” which helped land them a deal with Frenchkiss Records before they had even finished school. With the addition of Sheridan (whom Gore invited to join the band while waiting in line at a school dance) and Wells (a lucky Craigslist find), Future Generations now feels complete. Throughout Landscape the 5-piece build their pop-minded songcraft with bursts of free-form experimentation. And while the album’s abundance of hooky melodies makes each song immediately catchy, they unfold with an intricacy of detail that reveals more nuance and depth with every new listen.
3. Hollow Hand – Made Up My Mind
Hollow Hand releases a new video for latest single Made Up My Mind. Hailing from Brighton, the project is spearheaded by Max Kinghorn-Mills. Occupying a space between Super Furry Animals and Soft Machine – Hollow Hand’s debut album is set for release on October 19th 2018, via Talkshow Records. There are also a run of dates with Sam Evian planned for month of release as well as an exclusive performance at London’s Rough Trade East.
