Wild Rivers has reimagined one of their most beloved songs “Thinking ‘Bout Love” as a collaboration with celebrated singer/songwriter Wrabel. The intertwining vocals of Wild Rivers’ Devan Glover and Wrabel sound meant-to-be and take the listener through a near-spiritual mid-tempo reflection of the heart-aching ways love comes (and goes). The original version of the track (which has nearly 50 million global streams) is featured on the indie trio’s 2020 EP Songs To Break Up To. It was followed by their new album, Sidelines, which was released in February 2022. Described by Line of Best Fit as “a confident and mature record”, while Wonderland said it is “sure to calm your soul and centre your mind” and Under the Radar lauded the band’s sophomore album as “a piece of poignant pop beauty.” Wild Rivers (comprised of Khalid Yassein, Andrew Oliver and the aforementioned Devan Glover) have earned over 250 million streams and a devoted fanbase for their expertly crafted harmonies, introspective lyricism and incredible live show.
Today’s collaboration hits the marks as Wrabel himself has also become known for his heart-on-his-sleeve songwriting which balances grand piano-based compositions with achingly real lyrics. His debut full-length album these words are all for you dropped last year to praise from Billboard who said it boasts “boisterous vocals met by beautiful piano melodies” and from SPIN who said it “showcases his trademark, beautifully intimate performances and powerhouse songwriting”. In the recent past, Wrabel has also collaborated with an illustrious list of superstar talent including P!nk, Kesha, Marshmello, Cam, Afrojack and more.
