Enigmatic R&B artist The Sundrop Garden ((( O ))) today releases her debut album ‘((( 1 )))’. ‘((( 1 )))’ is the first of her self-styled ‘Sundrops’ and begins an extensive set of releases of new material.
‘((( 1 )))’, which starts a “12-year Sundrop journey of returning back to nature” draws on influences from the environment, her surroundings and her fight to make the world a more sustainable place to live and that’s before you even touch on the complex musical tastes that create her exciting and experimental R&B sound. The album boasts an atmospheric and naturalistic sound that only ((( O ))) could produce which, mixed with a backdrop of minimal R&B beats and sparse synths, acoustic instruments, strings and brass, sends you to a place out of yourself. Something ((( O ))) revels in and pushes at every opportunity.

Residing on an island off a Southeast Asian coastline, ((( O ))) works from her own studio completely off-grid, performing and writing everything herself on a mix of modern and traditional instruments. The album was also made using the help of solar energy to power equipment and seen by ((( O ))) “a direct gift from the sun and an opportunity to create.”
Having already travelled the world supporting French producer FKJ, ((( O ))) is due to be appearing in cities across the globe over the next six months, including his UK tour in October and a date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
