The Luka State, one of the UK’s most exciting up and coming rock and roll bands, today announce that they have signed to Shelter Records/BMG and reveal plans for their debut album, Fall In Fall Out, to be released on 29th January 2021. Hailing from Winsford, near Manchester and Liverpool, the four-piece have also revealed their brand new video for single Feel It, watch here.
Home to an array of legendary talent such as DMAs, Bring Me The Horizon and Tame Impala, BMG is just the home the band were looking for. Speaking of the signing and their forthcoming debut, the band have said, “We’re ecstatic to be on Shelter BMG and we’re excited where the road ahead is gonna take us. We’re confident that we have a strong debut, and the record itself will do the talking. It’s just a shame that we can’t get ourselves out there and tour it just yet.”
Carl Stubner, Chairman/CEO of Shelter Records has added,“The feeling you get when you listen to The Luka State is just like being in a sweaty underground club, feet stuck to the floor from the spilt beer and your ears ringing from the guitars. When you throw in the stadium size hooks on this record, we couldn’t pass up the chance to be a part of reminding everyone the magic of that awaits when bands like this hit the stage again. This record and this band are that reminder.”
Thomas Scherer, EVP Marketing & Repertoire West Coast at BMG has said,“We are incredibly proud to welcome The Luka State, signed to Shelter Music Records, to our BMG global family. We believe The Luka State will play an influential role in the next generation of Rock music. BMG US is very excited to align ourselves with such an impressive, energetic and forward sounding band that we believe will innovate the genre.”
Their debut album, Fall In Fall Out, can be pre-ordered now here on vinyl and CD, ahead of its release on 29th January 2021.
Today also sees the band release their single Feel It, which was mixed by writer/producer Tarek Musa (Circa Waves, The Big Moon). The rip-roaring track showcases frontman Conrad Ellis’s gritty yet soaring vocals, which are complemented by the band’s raw energy and sheer musicianship. The accompanying video, shot just 24 hours after signing their record deal, can be seen here.
Next year will see The Luka State back on the road, but due to the ongoing global pandemic they’re going back to the rehearsal room where they met as kids, and where they wrote the album.
