Ahead of their upcoming second album Pretty On The Internet, The K’s reveal brand new single, Gravestone, out now. Listen here.
Gravestone is taken from The K’s upcoming second album, Pretty On The Internet, which will be released on the 27th June 2025. Adding uplifting keyboards to their signature guitar tones and sing-it-back melodies, the band never fails to combine them with meaningful, relatable lyrics.
“Gravestone is a song I wrote about the internal struggle of wanting to feel like my existence matters. It reflects the hope that, in the end, it will all “work out” and not be “for nothing” and I’ll have done enough to be worthy of being remembered. I think during the writing process I had a moment of realisation to the fact I often put aside the more meaningful, life-affirming aspects of existence like family and relationships to instead spend that time trying to create something to make me one day believe worthy of the love I receive.” Frontman Jamie Boyle continues, “The song is an honest reflection of a mental battle to try and believe that I have earned the right to exist, a privilege that gets taken away from many more deserving people than me, and that my life will leave a mark that lasts beyond me. It’s an exploration of everything that whizzes around my head from ambition to self-worth and the search for validation”
Now they prepare to take everything one step further this year and are back doing what they do best with sets confirmed at this year’s SXSW in Texas as well as the UK’s emerging artists festival, The Great Escape. The four-piece head out on their Pretty On The Internet Tour in April and May, kicking off in Belfast on 15th April, they will play multiple dates across the UK and Ireland including London’s Roundhouse on 13th May before wrapping in Newcastle on 22nd May. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
With sold out headline tours, various main stage festival shows and a #3 Official Charts Album, The K’s swiftly became one of the most exciting and successful new British bands of last year. Their debut album, I Wonder If The World Knows?, was only kept off the top spot by The Libertines and Beyoncé and was the UK’s second biggest debut of 2024.
