Having achieved 1.5 billion career streams, two US Top 10 albums, and landed prime billing at Coachella and Lollapalooza, The Head And The Heart will release their fifth studio album ‘Every Shade of Blue’ on April 29th via Reprise/Warner Records in the US and Parlophone in the UK. The band today provide the first taste of what to expect with the release of the title track, as well as its accompanying video, which was directed by Jacqueline Justice.
The band commented, “‘Every Shade Of Blue’ conveys a spectrum of emotions and how we live with them. The closer we get the more shades we see. The more shades we see the more responsibility we hold. We all want to feel loved and protected. The question is will we be supported and seen by the ones we love in ‘Every Shade Of Blue’.”
The Heart And The Heart will follow the release of the album with the ‘Every Shade of Blue’ 2022 North American tour, which commences on May 20th. It includes a show at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre which sold-out months in advance. They will be joined in select cities by special guests including Shakey Graves, Dawes and Jade Bird. Please see their website for a full list of tour dates and ticket details.
The band added, “It’s wild to think that by the time we get back on the road this year, it will have been over two-and-a- half years since we last toured. We’re so excited to bring new songs to life on stage every night, traveling alongside artists who inspire us. We can’t wait to get out there, doing what we do with an even greater sense of gratitude.”
Initially self-released in 2011, The Head and The Heart’s self-titled breakout debut produced instant classics including ‘Rivers and Roads’, ‘Down In The Valley’ and ‘Lost In My Mind’, and was certified Gold. 2013’s ‘Let’s Be Still’ and 2016’s ‘Signs of Light’ reached Billboard’s Top 10 albums chart, with ‘Signs of Light’ also hitting #1 on the Rock Album Charts.
