The Glorious Sons Announce Club Show At London’s Omeara on 11th June Prior To Their Download Festival Appearance.
2019 saw The Glorious Sons release their feisty new album ‘A War On Everything’ followed by a lengthy European tour. In addition to their Download Festival appearance on June 12th and a new single ‘Closer To The Sky’ the band have just announced a club show at London’s Omeara. General tickets go on sale Friday 13th March at 9 a.m. GMT. Catch their latest interview on the “Bob Lefsetz Podcast”.
‘Closer To The Sky’, already being played across Kerrang radio and Radio 1 & Radio 2 Rockshows is “ inspired by a hooligan with his shirt off rubbing my brother’s feet, with pupils the size of the moon and his jaw fixed like Bill Murray’s character from Caddy Shack.” according to Singer Brett Emmons.
Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, the band gained notoriety across the alt-rock scene culminating in their Young Beauties and Fools album winning the 2018 Juno award for Best Rock Album. Lead track“S.O.S.” was officially the most-played song at rock radio in the US, and second most-played song at rock radio in Canada in 2019.
They swiftly released their next album ‘A War On Everything’ which has also been nominated for ‘Rock Album of the Year’ at the 2020 Juno Awards where they will perform on the national television broadcast on 15th March. A video for the title track can be viewed HERE,
This was followed by ‘Panic Attack’ HERE which spent 2 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart, featured on Spotify’s ‘Rock This’ and Apple Music’s ‘The New Rock’ playlists as well as garnering support from Radio 1’s Daniel P. Carter who previously gave the band one of his coveted live sessions.
