The ultimate celebration of George Michael’s music, brought to you by The George Michael Singers who performed and recorded with him for over 30 years. Shirley Lewis, Jo Garland, and Jay Henry alongside some of George’s original band members and his musical director Steve Sidwell with guest vocalists come together for this unique show.

The tour entitled The George Michael Singers 2025 Live that starts on Thurs 27th March at Southend’s Cliff Pavilion and culminates on Wed 30th April at Guildford’s G Live follows a sold-out show at London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire in December 24’.

Expect incredible renditions of some of George’s biggest hits, from Wham! to Faith through to Symphonica. Songs includes ‘Cowboys & Angels, ‘I’m Your Man’, ‘I Knew You Were Waiting’, ‘Careless Whisper’, ‘Father Figure’, ‘Everything She Wants’, ‘Fast Love’, ‘Amazing’, ‘Praying For Time’, ‘Faith’ and ‘Freedom’. The show will also feature Shirley, Jo and Jay sharing their untold stories about working with their friend, George.

Shirley Lewis was born in London into a musical family. Her late sister, Linda holds the distinction of being the first Black British female singer-songwriter to enter the UK charts and played an instrumental role in shaping her journey into the music industry. She is best known for her work as a backup singer for George and her distinctive voice can be heard on some of his most iconic hits, including Father Figure and Freedom.Shirley has worked with many music icons over the years that includes Elton John, Sting, The Eurythmics, Stevie Wonder and the Pet Shop Boys, however, it is her 30-year collaboration with George Michael that stands as the defining highlight of her career.

Jo Garland was born and raised in London, her father, Ritchie Bryant, was a jazz drummer to the likes of Acker Bilk and gave her the inspiration to follow in his footsteps. Her career has spanned over 25 years with some of the most iconic names in the music industry that include Robbie Williams, Kylie, Tom Jones, Sting, Boy George, and Rita Ora. She was signed to George Michael’s record label “Aegean” and worked closely with him recording and writing songs. George loved her vocal sound so much, he asked her to record on his albums from ‘Older’ to ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ and ‘Patience’. She was part of the iconic performance of MTV unplugged (which was remastered into an album) and featured in the “Fastlove” and “Spinning The Wheel’ videos. Jo joined George on various tv shows to promote singles and albums including “Parkinson” and shared the stage with him in many stadiums globally.

Jay Henry is an acclaimed international session vocalist and celebrity vocal coach for The Voice UK. With a career spanning decades, he has performed on some of the world’s most iconic stages, including the London 2012 Olympic Games alongside George Michael. Jay enjoyed a long and fruitful collaboration with him working closely both in the studio and on numerous world tours. In addition to their professional partnership, Jay was also signed as a solo artist to George Michael’s record label, further cementing their creative bond.
