The UK music scene has an uncanny habit of producing bands that energise a particular moment in time and out of the turbulence of 2019 an act has emerged that provides the much-required remedy of musical inspiration. The Clause are a 4-piece alternative group from Birmingham, comprising of Pearce Macca (frontman), Niall Fennell (drummer) Jonny Fyffe (bassist) and Liam Deakin (guitarist). Their sound is a combination of 60’s swagger, 80’s groove and a 90’s attack – taking inspiration from the big sound of indie and the melodies of rhythm and blues.
Formed in 2 016, whilst at school, the band have evolved and developed to a position where their releases have achieved over 500,000 stream s across all platforms. They have also embarked on a sold out, self- booked/promoted national tour in 2 019 which included Manchester, Sheffield & Glasgow and climaxed with a homecoming sell-out at the Birmingham Institute to a crowd of 600 fans. The Clause have immense pride on the credibility of their growth, gaining notoriety and popularity solely on the strength of their sound and energy.
In Just 3 days since the release of their new single, In My Element, The Clause managed to reach number 1 in the UK iTunes Rock charts and number 3 in the Irish iTunes rock charts and peak at
number 46 in the UK nationwide iTunes charts on Saturday the 13th of July.
