When Skerryvore shared their latest single ‘Everything You Need’ they continued their journey towards the April 28th release of their new album ‘Tempus’. It was premiered by Zoe Ball as her New To 2 on Radio 2, where the song was subsequently playlisted and earned further praise from Ken Bruce and Jeremy Vine, while long-term support continued courtesy of Jim Geraghty at Amazing Radio. The opening song to the upcoming ‘Tempus’ album, ‘Eye of the Storm’ is a stirring, swelling singalong which showcases not just the band’s champion-level and diverse musicianship, but also their newly invigorated way with a belting rock song. ‘Eye of the Storm’ very naturally hits the spot where the band’s Scottish roots provide the launchpad for a broader, anthemic alt-pop sound.

The airplay success of ‘Eye of the Storm’ coincided with a huge boost for Skerryvore’s upcoming live plans. Skerryvore are set to electrify the pre-game atmosphere ahead of the Scotland v Ireland Six Nations game in front of a huge crowd at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium this Sunday.
