Rising star Samantha Harvey has just revealed the music video for latest single, Get To Know You. The vibrant and colourful video sees Samantha and her love interest in various date scenarios, and follows their journey together complementing the lyrics of the song. On Friday, the track was given its first radio spin on Mollie King’s Best New Pop slot on their BBC Radio 1 breakfast show. On the day of release, Get To Know You was added straight into six of the prestigious Spotify New Music Friday playlists, including in the UK which has over 754k followers. The single also received great support from Apple Music, where it was added to their New Music Daily and Breaking Pop playlists. Samantha has said of the single, “Get To Know You is about the excitement of meeting someone that you really like and wanting to learn everything about them. The process of finding out about the person you’re interested in is beautiful, it’s intriguing, interesting and means you become best friends as well as lovers. I wanted to release a real feel good song that will stay in your head all day long, a song that people will want to put on over and over again and belt out in the car!”
In celebration of Samantha’s single release, she played a very special and intimate show at Tottenham Court’s Caffè Nero coffee shop on the day of its release, which was packed out with fans and intrigued customers alike. Being an inspiration to so many of her young fans, Samantha is currently visiting schools around the UK over the coming weeks. She will be talking to students about her musical journey so far and the challenges she’s faced, as well as discussing bullying in the digital age, staying safe online, staying confident and giving advice during a Q&A session. Samantha has cut her teeth on the live circuit over the last couple of years, and has supported acts such as Nick Jonas, Craig David and Rita Ora. All of this experience resulted in her own UK headline tour at the end of 2018, concluding with shows selling out in less than 24 hours.
