Following a packed out set at this year’s The Great Escape Festival, exciting new artist and alter-ego of singer-songwriter Adam Day, County Line Runner releases new single ‘Saw You In A Dream’, out now on KIDinaKORNER and Polydor Records.
Drenched in reverb and guided by rolling drums, crunching guitars & Adam’s ethereal rasp, ‘Saw You In A Dream’ is a stunning first taste of County Line Runner’s new music. Speaking of the track Adam says “Saw You in a Dream is about those few seconds it’s real, so vivid it kind of breaks your heart”.
Named after a character from a US nineties TV show who robbed banks across county lines, the moniker summarises his place at a handful of intersections – upbeat energy versus introverted vulnerability, folk sensibilities versus rock ambition, with a nod towards post-punk and nostalgia for days gone by versus hope for the future.
With early support from the likes of BBC Music and Clash Magazine, County Line Runner grace the stages of a handful of festivals this summer, including Reeperbahn Festival, Latitude and Mosley Folk Festival, before a headline tour in October, with a date at London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on 24th October. Tickets for the October headline dates available here at 10am on 21st June – https://listings.ticketmaster.co.uk/countylinerunner
