In the midst of playing a string of festivals this summer including an epic set at Latitude last weekend, County Line Runner, aka singer-songwriter Adam Day, today releases his new single ‘Our Little World’ on KIDinaKORNER and Polydor Records.
Soaked in reverb, ‘Our Little World’ is a euphoric indie-rock track made for stadiums and an impressive sound for an artist just at the beginning of his exciting career. On the track Adam said, “’Our Little World’ is about knowing what matters. It’s a reaction against this obsession to be successful or appear successful and the importance some people put on that.”
Named after a character from a US nineties TV show who robbed banks across county lines, the moniker summarises his place at a handful of intersections – upbeat energy versus introverted vulnerability, folk sensibilities versus rock ambition, with a nod towards post-punk and nostalgia for days gone by versus hope for the future.
With early support from the likes of BBC Music, The Independent and Clash Magazine, County Line Runner grace the stages of a handful of festivals this summer, including Reeperbahn Festival, Latitude and Mosley Folk Festival, before a headline tour in October, with a date at London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on 24th October.
