London based, Psykhi release his “See Me Clearly” with an accompanying music video. “See Me Clearly” marks the third and lead track to be taken from his forthcoming debut EP – details to be announced soon.

The track conceived by Psykhi, filmed by Peter Spanjer sees the upcoming artist at his most vulnerable. Speaking on the track Psykhi says “See Me Clearly is a song exploring my vulnerabilities and the importance of self love. Retrospectively understanding the need for personal healing and self-assertion.My authenticity is fallible, if I don’t value and love myself then I can’t possibly love outwardly in a healthy way. I wanted the video to continue exploring the inner conflicts and or uncertainties within myself through visuals inspired by Emmet Kelly, an American circus clown from the depression era (1930s). There is something about his makeup, the simplicity and authenticity of his character in which I see elements of myself. Wearing his white face allowed me to inhabit a version of me that has always sought to please others and who entertains the world with my sorrow. I hate feeling sorry for myself.”
“See Me Clearly” arrives after the release of “Rat Poison” and debut single “White Picket Fence” which received praise from the likes of The Fader calling the grunge and 70s rock infused track “magnetic” whilst DIY expressed the track “possesses one of the most gloriously grungy riffs 2021’s seen so far”.
Throughout his life, Psykhi has used music as a form of escapism. His music fuses diverse influences, from African highlife to the sounds of Seattle grunge; listening to the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Tame Impala, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nirvana and more. After spending his student loan on recording studios and a handful of demos, the 21-year-old found his way to Globe Town Records and “Psykhi” was born.
