Paul Heaton has announced two new summer shows at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday July 1 and Mouth of The Tyne Festival in Tynemouth on Saturday July 8.
The new shows, as well as all of this year’s festival dates, will feature special guest singers following the news that following further medical advice, Jacqui Abbott will sadly not be able to perform at this summer’s run of dates. We hope you’ll join us in wishing Jacqui a continued and speedy recovery.
The shows will see Paul Heaton performing songs from throughout his career including classic tracks from The Beautiful South and The Housemartins.
Special guests at the Scarborough show will be the Lightning Seeds and guests for the Tynemouth show will be announced shortly
Tickets for Scarborough and Tynemouth shows go on sale at 9.30am from gigsandtours.com and ticketmaster.co.uk
Paul Heaton, is one of the UK’s most consistently successful songwriters. His total sales across his catalogue (The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, Solo, and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott) is 8.8 million in the UK, and 13 million globally.
His Scarborough OAT show on July 1 is a much-requested return to the Yorkshire coast for the singer who played an unforgettable sell-out date at the venue back in 2016 with his long-time collaborator Jacqui Abbott.
And he is certainly no stranger to Scarborough, having filmed the video for 2015 hit single I Don’t See Them in the resort.
