Following the release of his sunshine fuelled new single ‘Patio’, lo-fi pop connoisseur George Moir has shared a remix of the track featuring rising pop artist LCYTN. Stream here.
The remix of ‘Patio’ transports the beach-ready ditty to the dancefloor with quirky samples and house beats, amplifying George’s vibrant and groove driven songwriting with LCYTN’s affinity for glittering pop and electronica.
About the track George says: “I was so excited when I saw the email heading ‘LCYTN Patio Remix’ land in my inbox. I downloaded the mp3 straight away to have a listen through, and I was pleasantly greeted with a complete re-imagining of my song! It’s an absolute honour to have someone as talented and exciting as LCYTN to mess around with ‘Patio’, I can’t wait for people to hear her excellent work! She’s done such a good job I think I might actually be allowed to be a fan of my own song, I will definitely be enjoying it from the comfort of my green plastic garden chair!”
Since its release last month, ‘Patio’ has seen acclaim across the board including spins on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6 with Amy Lamé calling it the ‘anthem of the summer’, as well as further support from Radio X who have playlisted the track on their X-Posure playlist. The track has also been praised by Notion, Dork and Daily Star who said the single “has all the charm of early Calvin Harris meeting Jack Antonoff”.
