Now at 80 million streams at Spotify alone, every new release from Nick Wilson finds more fans falling under his spell. Those who have been won over by big moments such as ‘Miles Apart’ and ‘Headlights’ or the recent single ‘Safe’ will find plenty to admire in his new song ‘Enough To Know You’, which is out now via Never Fade Records. Listen HERE.
‘Enough To Know You’ is a spellbinding confessional which tackles the whirlwind of emotions that follow an unexpected break-up. Supported by sensitively deployed acoustic guitar and piano, Nick’s open-hearted and tender vocals capture a rush of feelings. From shock to sorrow to appreciation for what was lost, it’s a confessional that can resonate across the board. Nick wrote the song with producer Matt Zara.
Nick commented, “Enough To Know You is about being broken up with, but realising that the time you spent with them is worth more than the bitterness and resentment of hating them for it. At its heart, it’s a song about letting go. To me there’s just something both heart-breaking and heart-warming about that moment of clarity in moving on and being okay with it. It’s the hardest thing in the world to come to terms with the fact that someone no longer wants you, but sometimes, being able to have shared a part of your life with that person is enough to let them go.”
A 25-year-old artist from Buckinghamshire, Nick Wilson’s sound hints at elements of Noah Gundersen’s raw intimacy, the mournful laments of early Bon Iver and LANY’s flair for melody. He’s earned countless international New Music Friday playlists on Spotify and has toured with Gabrielle Aplin and Dotan.
High profile fans are also becoming enamoured with his growing talents. Demi Lovato picked Nick Wilson as her favourite new artist during an Instagram live conversation with Sam Smith, while collaborators have included Martin Garrix, the Grammy-nominated Jonny Coffer (Beyoncé, Kodaline) plus Lewis Capaldi’s collaborators Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway.
