Having spent the past months gaining wide scale acclaim on the back of his stellar debut album LEMONS, Nick Leng reveals the last page of this chapter with a visually stunning Lazarus Dance directed video for In A Book ( Back To Me). Speaking on the video, Nick Leng states:
Lazarus is one of my oldest and closest friends. We grew up together and always shared a deep kinship over art and music. I had the privilege of working with him with two videos for my Drivers EP (Quite Some Time and Drivers) and when it came time to do a video for In a Book (Back to Me), I was adamant about putting the song in Laz’s lap. He was living in Berlin at the time and we decided to fly him to LA to work on it.
What culminated was one of the most magical cherished weeks of my life. I couldn’t be more thankful for the team, including Garrett Parker who did the choreography, as well as our DP Jack Caswell (who worked on the QST and drivers) and the incredibly talented trio dancers and extras who came on board. It was a delicate song; a tender and meaningful subject to me. I’m so grateful to have had such a beautiful group of talented people give their all for this project.
Racking up millions of streams and support from key Spotify playlists like Chill Vibes, Sad Indie and New Indie Mix, Nick Leng has cemented himself as an artist to watch with LEMONS. A body of work born of an emotional breakup, apartment fire and subsequent loss of a friend, LEMONS is the result of personal odyssey through wistfulness, isolation, and ultimately a renewal of spirit.
