Pop sensation HRVY is back with a brand new single ‘NEVERMIND’, out today via EMI Records – LISTEN HERE. The release follows hot on the tail from the announcement that HRVY will release his debut album ‘Can Anybody Hear Me?’ on August 28th.
‘NEVERMIND’ sees HRVY set the stage for pop domination with the juddering electro-pop sound he’s been so passionately perfecting over the last two years. The new single is co-written by both J Hart (Bieber) and Pollack (Lauv) and is a burst of pitch-shifted vocals that echoes the dancefloor melancholy of previous single ‘ME BECAUSE OF YOU’.
Of the single, HRVY said: “I wrote this song last summer with J Hart and Pollack who have written some of my favourite songs of the last few years and I’m so pleased this track turned out how it did and that everyone can finally hear it and see how the new music on the album is going to sound”
Debut album ‘Can Anybody Hear Me?’ includes globally certified and UK certified silver single ‘Personal’ plus recent releases ‘Unfamiliar’, ‘Be Okay (With R3hab)’. The body of work illuminates the many elements of HRVY and his musical tastes: while the plaintive acoustic ballad ‘She Isn’t You’ has nods to old school boy bands like N-sync to slow things down, there’s also the undeniable title track, a banger in the vein of Bieber’s ‘Sorry’ that is sure to go down a storm in a live scenario, while ‘ME BECAUSE OF YOU’ showcases a musician truly coming into his own, embraced by fans who are experiencing similar growing pains as they transition into adulthood.
HRVY’s quest to craft the perfect pop song is connecting with an astronomical audience worldwide, with 20,000 tickets already sold for his upcoming rescheduled World Tour including dates in the UK, Europe, US, Asia and Australia. At just 21, HRVY is already a global star, having traveled the globe building fans and scoring collaborations with artists from Korean supergroup NCT Dream, esteemed Norweigan DJ & The Vamps collaborator Matoma, Seeb and Goodboys and Cuban-born Latino sensation Malú Travejo.
HRVY has 4.8 million Instagram followers, over 2.7 million YouTube subscribers and more than 1 billion combined streams to his name. 2018 saw him perform his biggest ever UK headline gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and last year saw him performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend sharing the same stage as Mark Ronson, Miley Cyrus, Stormzy and Charli XCX – both proving to be landmark moments in the pop star’s career.
