Leeds based, Indie-Pop band Mercutio blends clean funk rhythms with smooth vocals, sweet guitars and punchy horns. Their self-produced EP – ‘Face To Face’ is to be released on March 8th 2019 and will be launched at The 360 Club, Leeds on the same day. Beguiling Vocalist, Kate Oates and the band will take their audience by the hand and lead them on an adventure of tears, challenges and triumphs.
These six exuberant performers felt an instant connection when they met at Leeds College of Music. They teamed up to create a unique fusion of classic pop, soul and indie-rock. The group’s lyrics wrestle with the struggles of being a teenager; injustice, love and angst.
To accompany the release of ‘Face To Face’, Mercutio have produced an intricate music video for the final track on the EP. It details the narrative of inner turmoil and it’s co-dependant relationship with the way you present yourself to the outside world. The track and video for ‘Something’s Coming’ sets the tone for a new era of Mercutio’s sound, keeping you on the edge of your seat; suspense, surprise, surreal.
