This single is accompanied by a stunning music video that showcases the duo against the picturesque backdrop of Tuscany, where Matteo Bocelli was born and raised. Produced by Stuart Chrichton (Teddy Swims, Kesha, Elton John), ‘If I knew’ is an emotional ballad capturing the power of love found after heartache. Accompanied by gentle guitar and piano, the power of Matteo’s voice added to the soulful warmth and vulnerability of Sofia’s tone make ‘If I Knew’ a poignant reminder that even the darkest moments lead to something brighter.

The duo performed ‘If I Knew’ for the very first time during Andrea Bocelli’s celebration event for his 30 Years in Music at Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, where the pair were accompanied by Matteo’s brother, Amos Bocelli, on piano. Speaking about the single, Matteo says: “‘If I Knew’ came out of the writing sessions for my debut album, Matteo, and originally it was planned as a solo track. Listening back to the demos, we knew we had a great song but something was missing. And that something turned out to be Sofia. Once she came in, everything just worked. She is so incredible at conveying all the light and shade of the emotions with her voice. It’s been such an incredible pleasure to work with her, and it’s been even more special to do it at home in Tuscany.”

Sofia Carson continues: “It is with profound happiness that I have lent my heart and my voice to this precious jewel of a song, alongside the incredible Matteo Bocelli. Under the Tuscan Sun, filled with emotion, I cannot wait to share this with the world.”
