UK trailblazer Master Peace has released his brand-new EP ‘Public Display of Affection’ accompanied with the must-see official video for ‘Boyfriend’ featuring Mae Muller, which you can watch here.
Primed for the return of buoyant live gigs, ‘Public Display of Affection’ was made last year when the pandemic resulted in the cancellation of Master Peace’s planned live shows. But rather than letting lockdown get the better of him, the multi-hyphenate artist took a pragmatic approach and made the best out of the situation, using the time to create a new body of work. Since then, a new headline tour has been announced including a gig at London’s Village Underground this September.
Speaking more on the EP, Master Peace shares:
“Public display of affection ep is a roller coaster of emotions; it really highlights my journey as a musician and my personal life a lot. It’s always been hard for me to articulate my personal life in a song before, so this EP really shows a side of me that people are not used to.”
‘Public Display Of Affection’ is striking return with drum-heavy stadium-ready songs like ‘Hold You Back’ and the standout anthem ‘Boyfriend’, which brims with loved-up angst and features London based singer-songwriter Mae Muller.
Speaking more on the exciting collaboration Mae Muller says:
“Master Peace has such amazing and powerful energy and it was such a privilege to be able to create something so special with him. Boyfriend is such a fun and playful song and I just want people to feel good when they listen to it because I know that we felt good making it.”
