The rousing new recording was written by Morris and Sarah Aarons (“The Middle,” Zedd/Maren Morris/Grey), along with GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), whom is credited for producing “GIRL,” and serves as the first music to be released from Morris’ forthcoming 2019 album and follow-up to the 2016 critically acclaimed, RIAA GOLD-certified album, HERO.
Yesterday, “GIRL” made its world premiere on Country radio, almost three years, to the day, from when Morris was first introduced to the airwaves when her debut single, the now 2x PLATINUM, GRAMMY-Award winning, “My Church,” arrived on Country radio (January 20, 2016).
Just hours before “GIRL” would be heard for the first time, Morris doubled-down on the momentous day when she announced her headlining GIRL: THE WORLD TOUR, the 40+ city tour, which kicks off March 9th in Chicago, Illinois, and includes Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn on select dates. Tickets for the general on-sale will begin Tuesday, January 22nd at 10 AM local time. Scroll down for full list of all tour dates.
