Lucy Dacus has announced a run of summer 2019 UK and European tour dates, including a London headline show at EartH on June 5th, alongside shows in Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Manchester.
2019 has shown little sign of Dacus slowing down, following a name-making year which saw the Richmond, VA singer-songwriter release her second album Historian to universal praise, be one third of supergroup sensation boygenius with Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers, sell out UK headline shows and make debut US national TV appearances on CBS This Morning, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Last Call With Carson Daly. A song series titled 2019, consisting of originals and covers, is to be released around notable dates in the year (Taurus season and US Mother’s Day, American Independence Day, Springsteen’s Birthday, Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s), with the first track in the series, a cover of Edith Piaf’s romantic staple ‘La Vie En Rose’ for Valentine’s Day, quickly reaching over 600k plays on Spotify and championed by Jo Whiley at BBC Radio 2 and Lauren Laverne at BBC 6 Music. With Taurus season and US Mother’s Day approaching, the second installment in the series is to follow soon, and 2019 will be released in its entirety later in the year as an EP.
Dacus is also confirmed for festival slots including Primavera Sound, Roskilde and Best Kept Secret, with more announcements to follow. A full list of current dates can be found below.
