Having ignited the interest of his army of fans with its four lead tracks – ‘Church Of Me’, ‘Carni Days’, ‘Clock Is Running’ and the title track – SEASICK STEVE has today unveiled his long-awaited new album LOVE & PEACE.
The LOVE & PEACE album was produced by Seasick Steve, who also mixed the album with Vance Powell [Jack White, Chris Stapleton] while long-term musical companion Dan Magnusson contributed drums.
The majority of the album was recorded on 2” analogue tape in Los Angeles at Studio 606 and East West Studio 3, with additional recording taking place in Steve’s barn. It also features a special guest in the shape of MALCOLM ARISON of The BossHoss, who gets loose on a number of tracks, most notably with a ferocious harmonica solo on Church of Me.
The resulting record finds Seasick Steve mixing up all of his much-loved ingredients to deliver a fresh new record that offers the perfect antidote for the troubled times in which we live. Full of hope for the future, it’s a great mix of boogie, blues, rock, Americana and folk, and all delivered in his unique style.
“In these crazy times, it seems to me there just ain’t enough love and peace to go around,” says Seasick Steve. “I ain’t exactly sure what this here record got to do with love and peace, but I figured I’d call it that anyways.”
Seasick Steve is raring to get back on the road and his plans for 2021 are already taking shape. Festival appearances, including Isle of Wight, NOS Alive in Portugal and Mad Cool in Spain have already been confirmed alongside some rescheduled European headline shows.
