Following its debut radio play on BBC Radio One’s Future Pop show last night, rising pop sensation, Lo Lauren has released her brand new electric single, Wonder. The glittery, infectious track is led by Lo’s signature sugar-sweet vocals, and culminates in a pulsing, euphoric chorus.
Written by Lo Lauren and her close team of collaborators, she teamed up with world renowned mixer Mark ‘Spike’ Stent and had it mastered by Idania Valencia at Sterling Sound, in New York. Wonder, a certified feel-good pop banger, explores themes of what-ifs and ones that got away, is out now. Listen here.
The music video sees Lo transported into a dream scenario with her love interest, perfectly complementing the wishful lyrics.
Lo explains, “If this song was a sweet, it would be popping candy. Fizzy, exciting & nostalgic. It’s an ode to every ‘could’ve been’ throughout my life; the exes, the flings, the strangers on the tube… and a song in which your imagination can run wild with possibilities. It’s longing for an alternative reality where they’re no longer the one that got away, no longer the one who was almost yours. I truly, madly, deeply love Wonder and it was one of those magical songs that wrote itself in about 10 minutes at the end of a really long, tiring day – a reminder to keeeeep going!”
Wonder marks the start of a compelling new chapter for Lo, and is the first track to be taken from her debut EP, Wonderlust! Taking the listener on a journey through the highs and lows, twists and turns of young womanhood, the highly-anticipated body of work will be released next year.
