Liam Sullivan is a singer songwriter from Leeds, UK. Who is set to release his latest E.P. “The News I Needed” on Friday 19th July. The lead single “The Raven” is now available on Spotify and Soundcloud and the official music video is available on YouTube along with various live performances. Liam will be playing a launch gig at 360 Club, Leeds, along with a full band, to celebrate the release.
The E.P. is a blend of powerful, high energy, distorted guitar driven choruses, soaring vocal melodies and intricate and emotional lyricism. Starting with the punchy lead single ‘The Raven’ taking you on a journey through space and time and finishing with the soulful ballad ‘Nairobi’, “The News I Needed” is sure to captivate the listener and hold their attention right to the last note.
‘The News I Needed’ follows on from Liam’s first E.P. ‘Restless’ which was released in 2017. Since the first E.P. Liam’s sound has developed dramatically, moving on from a singer-songwriter style to more of an indie rock, high energy feel, whilst still maintaining the emotional and haunting lyrics that were so prevalent on the first E.P. The main single from ‘Restless’ was ‘Days of Distance’. Which received air play on BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire.
Liam has been writing, recording and performing music for well over a decade, being part of many different outfits before going solo in 2015. Since then he has been playing with his own band and together they have been wowing audiences with their compelling performances. Liam is a mesmerising performer who never fails to give his all when playing his songs.
