‘Lemme Know’ single review by George Kirby
‘Lemme Know’ is the latest release to come from Milton Keynes pop starlet, Lydia Singer. Here, she proves why she is a force coming out of UK pop, and her delivery is inspirational.
Kicking off the piece, Lydia heads in a tranquil direction. Moreover, the music takes a natural course, and it reminds me of the beauties of life with its serene quality. Also, it pushes us towards Lydia’s vocal perfectly, and we are well and truly rinsed with refreshment even before Lydia leaps out with an unforgettable performance.
Musically, Lydia paves a new path for modern pop. Furthermore, she does not stick to the status quo with plenty of fresh sounds making it into the final mix. Also, she cleverly introduces new effects which we do not hear all too often in the modern chart, and that is probably one of the reasons why ‘Lemme Know’ sticks out like a beaming light.
As the track comes to its closing stages, Lydia pushes even deeper putting her substantial vocal range on full display. She sings with bite and charisma, and even the sternest of listeners will struggle not to gravitate towards her expertise. However, a few more backing harmonies in places could have been advantageous, especially to make the vocal sound even fuller in places.
Overall, ‘Lemme Know’ is the perfect track for the autumn months. It has a late summer vibe to it, and I enjoy how Lydia gets her message across in a clear as day fashion. Also, the musical arrangement stands out with exciting qualities, and although the vocals do compare with plenty of other singers in this space, the track as a whole is a unique gem.
