British producer duo Jungle have shared their glorious new track and Radio 1’s Hottest Record, ‘CANDLE FLAME’ (featuring Erick The Architect), taken from their forthcoming fourth studio album, ‘VOLCANO’ which is set for release on August 11.
Jungle’s plans for 2023 don’t stop there… Following on from the recent confirmation of their headline set at All Points East (August 26), the band have also announced details of a major North American and European headline tour.
‘VOLCANO’ follows Jungle’s previous album ‘Loving In Stereo’, which proved to be a landmark moment for the acclaimed UK duo. It achieved their highest domestic chart position to date debuting at #3 and in the US it catapulted to #1 on the Billboard Dance Albumschart.
Spinning timeless disco, soul and hip hop elements into Jungle’s unmistakable future-facing production, ‘CANDLE FLAME’ features the distinctive rapid fire rhymes of Erick The Architect and shimmers with the bold, exuberant energy that will no doubt make it an instant live favourite when Jungle head out on tour later this year.
Jungle commented, “As Jungle, we are incredibly proud of our latest release, “Candle Flame”. We wanted to create a song that was both personal and relatable, exploring the highs and lows of love and relationships in a way that was both poetic and authentic. Working with Erick The Architect was an absolute pleasure, and his unique perspective and talent added an extra layer of depth and richness to the track. “Candle Flame” represents everything that we stand for as a band – creativity, passion, and a commitment to making music that touches the hearts and minds of our fans. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it, and we hope that it brings joy and inspiration to all who listen.”
‘CANDLE FLAME’ is launched alongside an extensive new collaboration between Jungle and WeTransfer. The partnership begins today with the first in a series of free digital download drops for fans, which is available HERE. It includes an album art pack featuring wallpapers for desktop and mobile, images for social media, and a ringtone. Further drops will follow throughout the ‘VOLCANO’ album campaign, including first-of-its-kind, immersive interactive experiences.
The free-spirited energy that runs right through ‘VOLCANO’ reflects how organically it came together. This time around, the duo wanted to include a wider variety of voices within the album. In addition to Erick The Architect, they reunited with Bas (who previously featured on the ‘Loving In Stereo’ single ‘Romeo’) for ‘Pretty Little Thing’, as well as calling on talents in the shape of Roots Manuva, Channel Tres and JNR Williams.
