Jessie Wagner has just dropped the music video for her recent single– a cover of the early 1960’s classic “Cry To Me” by soul singer Solomon Burke. The track/video serves to tide fans over until the release of her sophomore solo LP on Wicked Cool Records in late 2023/early 2024.
Jessie says, “Are you sad that summer is about to end? Well, come on and Cry To Me! Check out my homage to ‘Dirty Dancing’ and let’s keep this summer jam pumping!”
Of her upbeat, doo-wop-flavored take on the beloved song, Wagner says “Ever since I saw Patrick Swayze gently sway Jennifer Grey in his beautifully sculpted arms to Solomon Burke’s “Cry To Me,” I was immediately obsessed with this sensual song. It continues to be one of my favorites, and I am ecstatic to release my take on this sexy classic.”
