Jason Donovan’s career began with a meteoric rise to fame in the late ’80s. His debut single “Nothing Can Divide Us” shot to number 5 in the UK charts, quickly followed by the iconic duet with Kylie Minogue, “Especially For You”, which topped the charts for 14 weeks and became an instant classic. His first solo UK number one, “Too Many Broken Hearts”, and his multi-platinum debut album Ten Good Reasons solidified his status as one of the era’s standout pop stars.
The momentum continued through 1990 with the release of his second album, Between The Lines and a stream of hit singles, including “Hang On To Your Love,” “Another Night,” “Rhythm Of The Rain” and “I’m Doin’ Fine.” That same year, Jason Donovan embarked on his Doin’ Fine 90 tour — a series of sold-out performances still fondly remembered by fans.
