Acclaimed singer-songwriter – JAKE BUGG – has announced a special ‘One Night At The Olympia’ show in Liverpool on 24 August.
Jake will be playing two sets on the night, one with a full live band and one acoustic, playing a series of his greatest hits with a string section and choir. There will also be an array of guest appearances throughout the night.
Standing, seated and box tickets will be available with VIP tickets also on-sale, including early access to venue queue jump, an illustrated and signed one-off poster, seats in either the royal or viewing box and a VIP lanyard.
Having celebrated ten years of his self-titled debut album last year, Jake Bugg has become one of the UK’s most prolific and established songwriters. With a string of extraordinary albums under his belt including ‘Shangri La’, ‘On My One’, ‘Hearts That Strain’ and his latest ‘Saturday Night, Sunday Morning’, the upcoming Liverpool show will showcase a spectrum of songs from across decade-long Jake’s career.
Pairing bluesy, Britpop-forward indie folk with working-class swagger and wry, weathered romanticism, Jake Bugg first picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and, within a year, was composing his own songs. Disinterested in the hip-hop and grime that dominated the listening habits of his peers, he turned to the classics for inspiration.
Having since supported the likes of Lana Del Rey, Example and Michael Kiwanuka, Jake Bugg has performed at Glastonbury and received countless award nominations, including winning a Brit Award for ‘Best British Newcomer’ as well as being nominated for the coveted Mercury Prize in 2013.
