London production duo iLL BLU have today unveiled their new single and video for ‘Magic’ featuring Bandokay and Double LZ from Tottenham’s OFB collective.
The track samples Sticky’s ‘Triplets’, bridging the gap between their 2000’s UK garage influences and today’s UK drill sound. Today also sees the arrival of the official video which has been directed by Ray Fiasco (Swarmz, Young T & Bugsey, Aitch, Tinie Tempah).
Since 2008, iLL BLU have continued to push the envelope. The duo were pivotal in shaping the UK Funky sound through their work on Princess Nyah’s anthem “Frontline”. More recently, the duo were the masterminds behind “Chop My Money” featuring Krept & Konan, ZieZie and Loski and have been working with the likes of Geko, Headie One, Not3s, IAMDDB and Young T & Bugsey to name a few. They also produced the majority of MoStack’s top 3 album ‘Stacko’ last year, including the gold and silver certified singles ‘What I Wanna’ and ‘Shine Girl’ featuring Stormzy.
The producers have gone far beyond their UK Funky origins, branching out across the UK underground scene while maintaining a strong crossover appeal with each release.
‘Magic’ featuring Bandokay and Double Lz is out now and marks what is set to be an exciting 2020 for iLL BLU.
