Today sees the release of the EP Plan B from rising star, Hollie Carmen. Fresh from playing a sold out show at the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington last night, the singer/songwriter is excited to share her 4-track EP with the world. Of the release Hollie has said, “Plan B EP is a snippet of my diary; falling in and out of love, being strong enough to leave, knowing I don’t need someone else to make me happy and most importantly accepting myself for who I am.” Listen to the Plan B EP here.
The EP consists of title track and latest single Plan B, which she worked on with Oscar Scheller who has collaborated with the likes of Lily Allen, Mabel and Mae Muller amongst others. It has gained support from tastemakers across the board, and no doubt remaining tracks Never Thought I’d Be That Girl, The Way ft. Aaron Unknown and This Song will have the same effect.
Last year, Hollie released her tracks Butterflies and Warrior Love, and received support from tastemakers such as Clash Magazine and The Line Of Best Fit. With more new music and live shows around the corner for Hollie, it’s an exciting time and all hands on deck for the young Londoner.
Hollie Carmen is a London born and raised singer/songwriter. Growing up, Hollie spent her teenage years listening to the likes of Prince, Ray Charles, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill with more recent inspiration taken from artists such as Dua Lipa, Jorja Smith, Alessia Cara, Frank Ocean, and Miguel.
