HIMALAYAS have released their new single ‘Surrender’, Listen HERE, the latest song to be taken from their forthcoming album BAD STAR out April 25th via Nettwerk Music Group. The album is available to pre-order now here.

‘Surrender’ is a foreboding cavernous rock track which examines uncritical loyalty to individuals and organizations, and the willingness to blindly accept anything they say. It also speaks to the inability to see why others may think differently, leading to further division instead of cooperation to achieve a common goal.

Regarding the single guitarist and songwriter Mike Griffiths says, “‘Surrender’ was one of the earliest tracks written for BAD STAR. We wanted to create something heavy and in your face while keeping it interesting and allowing the music to keep moving forward.

‘Surrender’ follows the release of a string of successful singles taken from BAD STAR including ‘What If…?’, ‘Nothing Higher’, ‘Hung Up’ and ‘Cave Paintings’. The latter was selected in Radio 1’s 2024 Big Hitters while the band were recently interviewed on the station’s Rock Show last month for the release of ‘Afterlife’.

The Cardiff rock band are currently in America performing a number of showcases at SXSW and their final show is at the British Music Embassy tomorrow (March 15th). They are performing further festivals this year including Y Not Festival and In It Together Festival 2025.
