In celebration of his highly-anticipated ninth studio album ‘Higher’ due out this Friday, multi-Grammy, multi-Juno and multi-platinum selling global superstar Michael Bublé today launches ‘Higher Radio’, a special limited radio series airing exclusively on Apple Music Hits, part of the award-winning Apple Music Radio.
In the first two episodes of Higher Radio, Bublé shared his 24 favourite vocal performances of all time, paired with heartfelt personal anecdotes about the music that influenced and defined him as an artist. He told Apple Music about hearing Mariah Carey for the first time, the timelessness of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, crying his eyes out listening to Bruno Mars, why Sam Cooke is the greatest voice in the history of music, the Ed Sheeran song he wishes he wrote and much more. In the third and final episode airing this Friday, March 25th, Bublé will celebrate the release of his first studio album in three years by giving fans a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the project, his approach to songwriting, collaboration, and more.
“I’m so lucky I get to do this,” says Bublé in the inaugural episode of Higher Radio. “I have hand selected for you guys 24 of my favourite vocal performances of all time to play. I didn’t come up with this list easily. I laboured and it was very difficult for me. I wanted to make sure that I was really honest and that there was integrity when I told you what I thought were the greatest vocal performances.”
The first two episodes of Higher Radio are now available to stream anytime on-demand with an Apple Music subscription at apple.co/_HigherRadio. Epis
