Dynamic newcomer Havelock releases his brand new single, ‘Help Me Grow’. Listen to it here – https://backl.ink/HelpMeGrow
‘Help Me Grow’ is the latest track from Havelock after ‘Oh My Word’, released last month, and his debut EP TRY B4U BUY, out earlier this year. A sombre contrast to the previous single, Havelock reflects on old wounds in new love as he sings over dreamy, cascading synths and waltzing percussion. “Help me grow, help me learn. Yeah we both come from poisonous partners but don’t let that turn something sweet into something so sour, girl”
Speaking of the song, Havelock explains: “This song is all about when bad habits from a previous relationship can negatively affect a current one. We all use our experience from old relationships to dictate how we co-exist with current and future partners. I was going through a rough patch with my girlfriend and I found that it was because of hidden insecurities that both of us had carried forward from our old relationships into our current one.”
Havelock continues to raise the bar, with ‘Help Me Grow’ and ‘Oh My Word’ signalling a new and even broader chapter of music for the rest of the year. Following on from his introduction in TRY B4U BUY, Havelock’s refreshing brand of tongue-in-cheek song topics and visuals have already gained him a tight-knit circle of fans and love from media outlets, including Complex, Wonderland, Colors and many more.
