Even more special guests have been announced today for Hyde Park’s ultimate rock show this summer. Joining The Pretenders, The Darkness and Larkin Poe are Dirty Honey, James and the Cold Gun, The Dust Coda, Grade 2, Bad Nerves and The Foxies.
Los Angeles-based quartet Dirty Honey hit the ground running in 2019 with their debut single, ‘When I’m Gone’. It became the first song by an unsigned artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, and their second single ‘Rolling 7s’ followed suit placing in the Top 5. They’ve previously opened for Guns N’ Roses, as well as The Who, Slash and Alter Bridge, and have become a “must-see” at multiple major rock festivals. 2021 saw the release of their self-titled debut album, capturing their lightning-in-a-bottle dynamics and energy of their live sound. Driven by the smoking lead single ‘California Dreamin’’, the record showcases airtight songwriting that plays up their strengths: sexy, bluesy, nasty rock’n’roll, melodic hard rock, and soulful ‘70s blues-rock.
South Wales’ loudest James and the Cold Gun are gearing up to release their debut album, out 21 July. Hailing from Cardiff, the band will make their return to BST Hyde Park this summer after supporting Pearl Jam last year. Their music is a loose, loud sound that evokes the glory days of 1990s alt-rock, reflected in recent singles ‘Something to Say’, ‘My Silhouette’ and ‘Chewing Gum’ from their upcoming record.
Founded in the melodic prowess of Adam Mackie and John Drake, completed by the richly rugged groove of Scott Miller and Tony Ho, London rockers The Dust Coda have thundered into the new wave of classic rock scene with enticingly unforgettable riffs, gravel-soaked vocal soul and sheer swagger. With their new album LOCO PARADISE out on 7 July, get a sneak peek first at their Hyde Park show this June.
