There’s still lots to look forward to this summer as Goose Island is bringing you the anticipation and excitement of the most iconic live acts, with its first ever up close and personal show from one of the best UK live venues.
Goose Island Presents – Supergrass. In 360º and VR, this is a unique, real-time perspective of the band’s headline set – direct to your home. The show will not be archived or recorded to view at a later stage, so must be experienced in the moment.
Music and beer fans will have the chance to witness the legendary live show of Supergrass with the band performing at Manchester’s Band On The Wall, playing the festival headline set they wanted to perform for thousands of fans this summer.
Creators of some of the most defining tracks of the last twenty years, Supergrass boast a massive repertoire of hits including ‘Alright,’ ‘Moving’ and ‘Pumping On Your Stereo.’
With a string of festival shows lined up for this summer, including a headline performance at Kendal Calling, the unique 360º VR Goose Island Presents Supergrass showcase will get fans closer than ever to the action.
Supergrass said: “After having to postpone many of our live shows this year, we’re so happy to team up with Goose Island to play a really intimate show in Manchester to raise money for two charities close to our hearts Nordoff Robbins & CALM. We love playing live and can’t wait to share this intimate show with people virtually too. Grassroots venues in Manchester and everywhere else are battling to survive right now and they’re desperate to be able to access the money the government has promised to help them. It’s really important that the process is fast tracked now so that no more venues have to close for good and they can fully open up for bands and fans as soon as it’s safe.”
At just £2 a ticket via www.GooseIslandPresents.com, 350 lucky winners will also win a free customised VR headset and a four pack of Goose Island beer, delivered straight to their door in time for the show. There are also five chances to win a ‘virtual meet-and-greet’ with Supergrass via an online hangout on the afternoon of the show.
All ticket proceeds will be split equally between music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity and suicide prevention charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – the bands chosen charity.
