Indie-rock quartet Peach Pit have unveiled their third studio album From 2 to 3. Listen HERE. To accompany the project’s release, the band has shared a brand-new music video for “Give Up Baby Go,” a staple track on the album that is described by lead-singer Neil Smith as “the country version of ‘Party Rock Anthem,’ except it’s about how getting blackout drunk was ruining my life.” Watch HERE.
From 2 to 3 features 11 tracks, many of which highlight Peach Pit’s extensive musicality with each band member playing multiple instruments on the record including tambourine, cowbell, harmonica, lap steel, and more. In addition to “Give Up Baby Go,” the album features the band’s recently released single “Vickie” as well as previous tracks “Up Granville” and “Look Out!” See full track listing below.
Speaking about the album’s creation, Smith shares: “From 2 to 3 is an album we started writing just months before the world shut down, back when it was easy to romanticize being shut in. Since then, being alone got really old, but it shaped the sound of the record ultimately reminding us that music by yourself is great, but it’s better when you’re with your friends. We wrote the record on instruments we had in our living rooms, so it seemed fitting that we record it that way too.”
In celebration of album release, the band will embark on a UK “From 2 to 3” UK tour this spring. The band will perform across Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Brighton before concluding in London for a huge headline show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on 19th May. Peach Pit will play songs from the new album as well as fan favorites from You and Your Friends and Being So Normal.
