FUDGE. are a young band from Leeds with confidence, attitude and an edge of danger. They possess an ability to write songs that will hit you like a hammer to the guts and the same can be said for their live shows. They are fostering a reputation for wild and breathless live performances and, yes, the full stop does matter.

Following their debut release earlier this year, their second single, NOT A THREAT JUST A WARNING, will be released on 22 February 2019 and launched with a headline show at the 360 CLUB at LEEDS LENDING ROOM on the same day.

We could write passionately about its strength and its power but it’s their song, they wrote it, they recorded it, and they perform it live to blistering effect to a tribal and loyal following that teeter on the verge of hammering seven bells out of each other but always with a loving smile on their face and a caring arm around the shoulder.

So, this is what FUDGE. have to say:

CAM | vocals: “Not A Threat Just a Warning sends a message to the individuals that do not understand the outlook that Fudge. possess; it credits those on board and articulates frustration with passers by being little pussy bois. It’s for them who wanna feel like they’re going somewhere whatever’s going down with the shitty world.

OTTO | guitar: “We wrote this song to have the kind of vibe that would rile someone up and put them in the mood to take on the world. To do something with their lives. It’s a little dig at people who don’t think for themselves; the people who are drip-fed content by mainstream media and seldom choose to look beyond that. It’s a nod to the fact that the entire world is bored of people reproducing the same bullshit that they have been for years and it’s time to change that.

JOSH | bass: “To me, this song symbolises how far the band has come this past year, gaining strength and really finding its feet. It represents everything that the band stands for: energy; attitude; not taking life too seriously; and it really sets the tone for the coming year.

ANGUS | drums: “Not A Threat Just a Warning has much more to it than the initial punch in the face. It’s more sophisticated in the way it delivers its energy, addressing a familiar feeling of vexation and instantly providing a way of releasing pent-up anger. Calling out the ‘half-arsers’ and the ‘lacklustres’, this song takes no shit from anyone and gives us three minutes of freedom from the constraints of everyday frustrations. I see this song as more of an outlet than something to be consumed; an outlet of emotion and passion that everyone possesses.

FUDGE. believe they are the catalyst between you and a good time. They ask you to be ready to wrap your ears around contagious verses and a riot of stomping riffs that will have you moshing in your kitchen. Running things from Leeds, they aim to quickly push their name and what they have to say around the country with their explosive live performance.

Anyone who has witnessed them live will nod knowingly to that. It’s a staggering spectacle, verging on the precipice of danger and threat, as band members launch into the mosh pit whilst still playing their instruments. But always watching each other’s back, always watching the audience’s back. Their songs, and in particular NOT A THREAT JUST A WARNING, may often have an air of violence and menace but a blanket of compassion and unity hovers over FUDGE. and they ensure that none of the good people of Leeds will be harmed in the making of this band.
