Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place brand is announcing a unique set of original tracks, amplifying the scope of the brand’s exploration of wellness, mindfulness and mental health. The music will encompass the themes ‘Quiet’, ‘Calm’ and ‘Happy’ the titles of Fearne’s enduringly popular books.
The first track entitled ‘Being’, has been produced in conjunction with the producer ‘You’. Released on 21st May to mark World Meditation Day and falls under the theme of ‘Quiet’. Its blissful ambience envelopes the listener, euphoric and soothing, an ideal soundtrack for seasoned practitioners and curious newcomers to meditation.
Fearne says:
“Music plays a huge part in our general well-being. It can be incredibly emotive and powerful both mentally and physically. This new Happy Place track aims to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation and a little time carved out to stop and recalibrate.”
Decca Records are delighted to announce the expansion of their partnership with Fearne Cotton and Happy Place. The partnership was engendered to explore the relationship between mental health and music. ‘Being’ follows 2020’s eponymous album ‘Happy Place’, which saw Fearne curate an album for the very first time as Executive Producer. ‘Happy Place’ featured original songs with a blissful narrative, written and recorded by a collection of inspirational artists and friends including Emeli Sande, Sam Fender and Ludovico Einaudi.
This is not Fearne’s first foray into original music. The debut release from last year’s Happy Place album ‘Lockdown Kittens Dancing’ was co-written by Fearne herself with GABA, with music from Amelia Warner, narrated by Dame Helen Mirren.
